How often does a wood patio cover need re-staining?
Every two to four years in the Austin sun, depending on exposure and the product. We’ll recommend a stain and schedule, and a properly roofed cover protects most of the wood from direct weather.
Cedar or treated pine?
Cedar for anything visible: it’s naturally rot- and insect-resistant, stable and beautiful when stained. Treated lumber for concealed framing where cost matters more than looks. We’ll show you both on your quote.
Can you match my roof shingles?
Yes. We identify your shingle and source a match, or use a complementary color if the original is discontinued. Metal roofs are also an option on wood covers.
Is a wood cover more expensive than aluminum?

Do wood covers need permits?
Attached wood covers need a building permit and engineering in Austin and most surrounding cities, plus HOA approval in most neighborhoods. We handle it.
