Outdoor Kitchens in Austin
Grill islands, counters, bars, sinks and fridges, built under a cover that was designed for them. One crew for the structure, the masonry, the electrical and the gas, so the kitchen and the roof over it actually fit together.

Design the Kitchen and the Cover Together
The most common outdoor kitchen mistake is building it first and covering it later.
A grill needs clearance and ventilation. A fridge needs shade and a circuit. A bar needs lighting and a ceiling fan overhead. When the kitchen and the cover are designed as one project, the posts land where they should, the wiring runs inside the roof, the grill vents properly and the whole thing looks planned.
We design both at your consultation: the island layout, appliance cutouts, counter heights and seating, and the cover above them with the right height, ventilation and lighting. Then we build it in one continuous project.
- Grill islands, L- and U-shaped kitchens
- Bars with seating and pendant lighting
- Sinks, fridges, kegerators, side burners and smokers
- Stone, stucco, brick or tile finishes
- Granite, quartzite or concrete counters
- Gas, electrical and plumbing coordinated

Materials That Survive Austin
Heat, sun and the occasional freeze are hard on outdoor kitchens. We build for all three.
Steel or block framing instead of wood near heat. Natural stone or stucco finishes that don’t fade. Granite or quartzite counters that shrug off sun and spills. Stainless appliances rated for outdoor use, with clearances per manufacturer. And a cover overhead that keeps the whole thing, and you, out of the direct sun.

Outdoor Kitchen FAQ
How much does an outdoor kitchen cost in Austin?
A grill island starts in the low five figures; full kitchens with multiple appliances, stone and a cover cost considerably more. Appliances are usually the biggest variable. We quote a fixed price after design.
Do I need a permit for an outdoor kitchen?
Gas, electrical and plumbing work require permits and licensed trades; the cover above it requires a building permit. We coordinate all of it.
Can I bring my own grill?
Yes. We build the island to your grill’s cutout dimensions and clearances. We can also supply appliances if you prefer one source.
Do you handle the gas line?
We coordinate a licensed plumber for gas and a licensed electrician for circuits, and schedule them within the project so you have one point of contact.
How long does an outdoor kitchen take?
Design and quote in days; permits a few weeks; construction one to three weeks depending on size and whether a cover is built at the same time.
